Nicoleta Sandulescu becomes a territory for the exercise of freedom and intimate experimentation. The body marks space, just as space ceases to be if we do not think of it as inhabited by the body. The house is the place where the body acts in space while space stimulates the body. It is about inhabiting the house but also inhabiting the body.
How to conceive a body without the place it occupies? It is about a body applied to the place and a reconstruction of meaning: “the body is always the same” for “the representation is always different” or better, “the body is always different”. As such, each drawing is a different way of seeing, and a different way of being, of being inside the body, inside the image.
Gaston Bachelard, in his work “The poetics of space” writes about the house as the privileged place for dreams and reveries. Bachelard lets us suppose that the house is “a body of dreams”. The French thinker affirms: “the great dreamers profess the intimacy of the world”, and later adds “but they learned this intimacy by meditating on the house”.
The territory where everything is possible is the space I live in. I work on the matter of a particular environment: my own home, the space where I am always different. I can only expose myself like this in the intimacy of the house.
The house brings together a vast collection of possible images of being, multiple, changing images that, in the same way, illustrate the impermanence of being.
The body can be the house and not just be inside it. The body can be located as an abode, from which actions depart. The body is elected as the place of experience.

Pour la visite nous vous prions de respecter les consignes de sécurité : port du masque, désinfection des mains et respect d'une distance d'au moins 2 m entre les participants du groupe.
