2025-02-21 11:30:00 2025-02-21 11:30:00 Midi de l'Art : JKB Fletcher - Echo (after Steichen) Galerie Nosbaum Reding - 2-4, rue Wiltheim, Luxembourg-Fëschmaart Exhibition from 16.01.2025 until 01.03.2025 Guided visit in English by the artist and Jean-Marc Arnaudé (with possibility of translation into French). Nosbaum Reding presents Fletcher’s third solo exhibition in its gallery space. Following Abundance, where the artist explored the density and visual saturation of nature, Echo continues in this vein while marking an evolution toward a more refined and introspective approach. This new series reinterprets landscape photography through the medium of oil painting, playing with visual memory and echoes of the past. Inspired by the works of Edward Steichen (1879–1973), the Luxembourgish-American photographer and painter, Echo reflects a deep attachment to Steichen’s dreamlike, ethereal, and romantic aesthetic. A pioneering figure of Pictorialist photography, Steichen sought to merge photography and painting to create a communion between the two mediums. Fletcher extends this approach by translating photographic imagery through his distinctive oil painting technique on canvas. - Read more Visual : JKB Fletcher - Exhibition view at Nosbaum Reding Gallery.
