Maxim Kantor's striking brushstrokes and expressive palette bring to life portraits shaped by society, history and the search for God. As he unmasks propaganda and lies, the Russian dissident also shows what endures and sustains.
Dieter Rickert was Germany’s leading headhunter until he retired. “Heads are my business,” he says. His collection includes 19 portraits and three other paintings that are emblematic of Kantor’s work. The Rickert Collection also poses the question: What, who, and where is the human being? Rickert has now entrusted the works, created between 1977 and 2024, to the Luxembourg School of Religion & Society.
